Yes the advantage is huge and you can lay off pitches that you know more than likely will be out of the zone and not try to foul them off.

As for the punishment, it was pathetic. The players are the ones that actually did this, where the manager tried to stop it, not enough in my mind. But for them to get off free is pathetic. If that is the case then they better re-instate Pete Rose.

Not to mention the damage it to the other team, mostly pitchers who reputations were hurt and potential loss of income from those results, and the Astro players added income because they cheated.

Most top players have come out and said they lost respect for them and some have brought up the fact that they don't believe they actually stopped cheating and the league is holding stuff back.
