He's either a first round talent or he isn't. There's a lot that goes into draft grades, but the #1 thing is measurables and projectability. You then get into work ethic, intangibles, leadership, college production, etc. Those are all secondary factors.

Max Hall and Jake Heaps understand this completely. Max Hall was a great college QB. He won a lot of games, but he had terrible measurables. He wasn't drafted and lasted a short stint in the NFL. They know exactly what it takes to be a first round pick. Wilson has all the tools to get there. If he doesn't show a consistent performance on the field, he probably won't get there. However, he was only a sophomore. There are dozens of examples of first round QBs that had a bad season and bounced back.

I don't know if Wilson will be a 1st round pick, but he has that ceiling if he puts it all together over his last 2 seasons.
