I was skiing this weekend where 2 black diamond runs intersect. I was on a well established run and the other was only groomed because not much snow had fallen recently. I was looking ahead going maybe 40 mph and out of the corner of my eye I see a flash of orange coming to T bone me around 50 mph. He somehow missed me but ran over the back of my skis and clipped the ends of my poles. My legs were jelly for a few minutes afterwards. That could have been a season ender if not more. What near misses have you come out of unscathed?
