Wow, some of these are scary. I was driving home from hunting, and after
hitting a group of deer just outside Evanston (torn off grill, only one headlight left, flat tire) I hit black ice right by Bridal Veil Falls. Spun a few 360's into the oncoming lane until I hit the far guardrail and got bounced back in to the median. Lucky for me there was no oncoming traffic at that moment.
I often wonder how close we have been to death without knowing it. How often have we been inches or seconds from death and had no idea?
