Virtually every country in Western Europe has infection and death rates higher
than the US. How did their centralized governments and socialized medical systems protect them from the pandemic?

The US has 51 deaths attributed to coronavirus out of 2,569 confirmed cases. Western Europe, which has roughly the same population, has over 1,700 deaths out of almost 43,000 confirmed cases. Which one would you say is handling the pandemic better?
