I would bet that if you put a billion or so dollars on the manufacturers desk

There are a few here in the US, we could get some put together pretty darn quick. The US is able to build tanks, weapons and reconfigure manufacturing facilities quickly. Why couldn’t we put together some ventilators quickly? I got to figure that instead of injecting all $2.2 Trillion into the economy this last week, if we spent the money building capacity instead, wouldn’t this help with the capacity issue, as well as give some confidence back to the people?
