If medical costs go down then medical responsiveness will go down...
No question there's a lot of unknown waste in hospital systems in the name of over sterilization and "medical grade."

But the largest cost is labor. If you squeeze reimbursement then labor gets axed. When labor gets axed, wait times climb (waiting rooms and call light services), procedures/ services aren't available on demand and quality outcomes decline. Wages don't get reduced, because dr's, radiologist, surgeons, nurses, cnas can go work on the other end of town at the competitor.

Our healthcare system isn't perfect but the money invested in it and services available in it are pretty dang good.
