These things have happened before and will again.
Making it seem like this will be our doom because of economic disruption is disingenuous.
Of course all risks are measured and evaluated and we chose to put economic boom times behind saving lives even if it means our older generation.
It’s a value judgement. And yes I get that economic downturns are deadly. But they don’t have to be. We don’t have to have death either way. One death is certain. The other is possible.
When history looks back on this era it will ask why we decided to do what we did. Hopefully we ask it in peaceful times.
