Median age of deaths in Spain in Italy is in the 80's. 99% of these deaths had pre-existing condition. You are risking global depression, famine, and war, to save people who don't have long. This shut down is going to have horrible repercussions. I know that sounds insensitive. My parents are in the high risk group, lung issues and approaching 80. I see them multiple times a week. They see it the same way too.
An honest discussion is worth having, but we need to be honest about the risks of shutting down global production for 1/4 of the year.
