Edge technology, generally goes down every year in every field with the single exception of healthcare.
Here is a quick example of what is wrong in healthcare:
When my second son was born we asked for the itemized bill, even though our "insurance paid for it".
We had asked to spend a little time with or son in the room right after he was born so my wife could feed him before he went to the nursery. They charged us $600 dollars for that. $10 for every minute we were in the room. It was 1:00AM and the place was empty, and no one informed us of the additional cost.
We we're charged $16 per single ibuprofen pill.
The "gift" bag for newborns, which was basically a package of pampers and some formula we didn't want was actually a $150 charge.
We could have easily knocked $1000 dollars off the bill if we just knew what cost what.
These are silly gimmicks, symptoms of a broken system.
