One of the early article I read on this quoted one of the P5 commissioners

basically saying G5’s couldn’t afford to take the necessary precautions for players to be protected. In other words “you can’t afford to play us” so we’ll just play each other. all under the guise of COVID-19 . Here’s their chance to kill off those pesky G5’s
