There are definitely some white collar jobs that will be easier to automate than
blue collar jobs. radiology comes to mind with how computers can detect differences in color and variations on X-rays with more accuracy than the human eye. Plumbing is a blue collar job that is harder to replace.

My concern is around the gains from automation going to an already very well off group of industries and stakeholders, at the expense of many different white and blue collar jobs where many in those jobs are less likely to be able to recover. This further divides society and is another cause for hopelessness and civil unrest.

I think there are potential good solutions to address different aspects of the challenge from left, center, and right perspectives, but it will require acknowledging the situation and collaboration as a society.
