too unequal, it often leads to violence and a desire to overthrow the system. There is a great book on this called "The Great Leveler" by Walter Scheidel that shows how this plays out through history.
For some reason many in society don't like to see things get past a tipping point of inequality. I'm sure there are many reasons for this including psychological and personality driven. What we can understand though is how it plays out through history.
I do think the media plays a role here and think it would be good to try and tackle that challenge as part of what would be needed to address not tipping past the point of return on inequality.
