Yeah, just pull yourself up by your bootstraps
I'm tired of young people complaining. We told them their whole lives that college is the way you get ahead, no matter what. Is it supposed to matter that the price of college has more than doubled the inflation rate, with salaries barely keeping pace with inflation.

So what? You'll only need to take out tens of thousands of dollars of student loans to be able to get that degree, but it will be worth it! It's fine that with record numbers of college grads, the actual value of a bachelors has never been lower, it's the way you punch your ticket to a society where housing is a wealth building commodity held by those who bought when it was affordable, artificially restricting the availability, further leading to an unsustainable housing crisis.

Buck up and rent a small apartment with multiple roommates, that's the american dream. No big deal that you are forced to live outside of any desireable city, and still commute. I know that we could have invested more in infrastructure and public transit, but the oil and car lobby were too kind. Thus our cities are public transportation nightmares leading to constant congestion and poor air quality. But you're young, you can handle it.

After all of that, young people still have the audacity to complain about business that prioritize the shareholders over their own employees. Its sad, thinking that the people responsible for the day-to-day operations of the business, who rely on the business to feed their families, are somehow more important than the 1% of Americans who own more than half of all equities. This country has made billionaires out of the true thinkers, those daring enough to steal a competitors idea and outsource their production to countries with easily exploitable labor.

I know, I know, you want to be able to afford your basic medications, but think of the profits a multi-billion dollar international pharmaceutical corporation can make by charging you over 100x premiums on life saving medication! If young people want to make it in this country, they need to know that the way up is to first line the pockets of those who are already rich.

It is that simple, go to school, take on decades of crippling debt, support the corruption that permeates every facet of society, keep your head down, don't ask questions, and maybe you too can carve out a meager life as one of the working class.
