I honestly don't know the wording of the rule but I'm guessing a targeting call would come within the course of the play
right? Again, I'm guessing but even if, after the play was blown dead, a player decided to run full steam and launch himself, crown of the helmet first, into another player, it would probably still be flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct.
I'm guessing, in this scenario, the player would almost certainly be ejected from the game but I'm thinking that he would still probably not be flagged for targeting.
But, again, this is just me guessing. I'd be interested in seeing the actual wording for the different penalties but, honestly, too lazy to figure out how to find it. I'm guessing Google is the answer.
