It's not what I saw watching the replay. To me it appears the ball hits him in the hands centered on his body but the angles are hard to see. I still think you have to add this to his body of work when considering who your point returner is going forward. Maybe weight it less, but you don't disregard it. You have to make the catch and not be distracted by the players around you. That's by definition the job of a punt returner and why it's a really hard job. Not everyone can do it.
