Anyone here have experience drug testing a child? Unfortunately, that looks to be my reality going forward with my 16 year-old.

From what little I've seen so far, it looks like there are urine tests and hair follicle tests. The urine tests don't really seem ideal because they only detect usage during the previous few days, whereas the hair follicle tests detect usage over the previous many weeks. Based on that, it seems like the hair follicle tests are the way to go.

Any tips from any of you who may have also had this unfortunate experience? Type of test to use? How often? How to get cooperation from the child?

We will also be resuming counseling, though I have to say, I haven't seen much benefit of counseling in the past in terms of behavior modification from this kiddo.
