#1 - they’re Mormons and the baggage is... university people don’t like us... people in general.... don’t really care but this is somehow massive baggage

#2 - we don’t play on Sundays... and having to look twice at a schedule takes an extra 30 minutes for about 2 or 3 sports every single year to accommodate.... so a few hours of baggage each year... huge

#3 - ummm BYU is really hard to work with, as proven in 2020, we were unable to completely revamp the schedule and have any sort of football season since everyone bailed on us, wait... didn’t we drive across the country on a whim to accommodate a school most people have never heard of? ND is so frustrated with us by us holding them accountable for those 5 games they contracted to play but backed out on... we have been a major pain for them, then all the demands we made back in the day when Baylor took our spot in the B12 which have never been corroborated but are universally taken as fact... let’s say they are fact, that’s a very big deal because all the same people are in charge at BYU since then and everything stays the same.

#4- BYU people don’t generally drink alcohol and that is baggage because of the guilt everyone else feels since they all know they shouldn’t drink... wait they don’t care? Ummmm then maybe it’s the economics of all the money going to the family restaurants rather than the bars... must be that since that is massive baggage


Obviously this is all TIC the only reasons BYU doesn’t get taken over someone else is #1 religious discrimination or #2 we drop a few 2017 turds a few seasons in a row just prior to the decision
