That is also assuming RPI is the sole basis for the seeding expectations.
BYU may have had legitimate gripes many many years ago (03 and 04), but more recent years have been pretty fair to BYU (sometimes even in their favor). The College bball committee is night and day compared with the joke of college football. The process is much more transparent, objective and fair.

Since 2007, BYU has 8 NCAA tourney trips. We have been overseeded once, “correct” seed 4 times, and underseeded 3 times.

In 2003, BYU had an RPI of 19, a Kenpom of 24 and got a 12 seed, against a UConn team that had an RPI of 28 & Kenpom 22
