I have a friend whose dad passed away from Covid. Dad was pretty set up with his
will, a trust, who the house was going to go to, etc etc etc.
Well, the kids seem to be getting screwed because no matter what he said in the will and such, the widow who is his second wife seems to get all of it or nearly all of it because Nevada is set up that way. The story sounds unbelievable to me but is Nevada really that way? If so, what is the point of having a will?
*I certainly could only be getting part of the story but it sounds wild.

Probably more to the story your friend doesn't understand. Pretty common for surviving spouse to get stuff.
