If that were the pill, absolutely. To me, "never happened" implies not played

If it were changed to a win, it's the clear #1. If it's just taken away, then all this does is leave us imagining what might have been - which is what all of these other focus on.

If we hadn't play Coastal Carolina, there'd be a pill here saying "BYU takes short notice Gameday matchup against CCU in 2020"
