Those DCs sure had him figured out. BYU only managed scored 41 in his last game
before his injury.

Before Taysom went down, BYU was averaging 38 ppg. For comparison, BYU averaged 42 against a in 2020 against a weaker schedule.

While an undefeated 2014 season under Taysom Hill was a no guarantee, Hill has definitely a player who could throw a team on his back and make it happen. He was a QB who was completing 67% of his passes and averaging over 100 rushing yards and 2 rushing TDs per game.

Even in his worst statistical games, he still had a huge impact. Lets try an experiment. Without looking at the stats, which of his 2014 games would you say was his worst (at least statistically)?

If you guesses Texas, you most likely cheated or have a photographic memory. Either way, you'd be correct. He had his fewest passing yards (181), fewest passing TDs (0), lowest russing yards per attempt (4.1), and was also sacked 6 times and threw an interception. Yet all we (and Texas fans) remember is Taysom Hill embarrassing the Texas defense.
