The selection committee had already made it clear in their actions that they intended to create an artificial distance between us & their chosen G5 leader, Cincy.
Cincy wasn't about to get into the playoffs, & neither were we — regardless of the outcome of that game.
A healthy Davies, on the other hand — woulda given us a VERY good shot at a title match in the weak playing field of the 2011 NCAAs.
