I've loved my middle/high school kids getting off early each day during COVID

5-hour days for that age group would be the best model, I feel. Throw in some online learning if needed, but that can usually be done efficiently on their own and they can still have time to pursue other interests.

Honestly, 5 hour days is best for younger kids too except that we see school as daycare, not education.
