You can’t keep hitting a QB without the ball

Whether the play was active or not, they knocked him flat, well after the pass, and continued hitting him as he tried to get up. Once the ball is gone, a hit is now roughing the passer. Even after the interception, it was not blocking, and a personal 15 yard with ejection, in any other game. If that was an O lineman doing that to a guy coming in, he would be flagged all day long.
