I really don't think Wilson was horrible, much less bad in the game. There are plenty of reasons for the loss - and I don't blame him at all. I didn't after the game (I defended the final throw going to Milne even) and I don't now. I can see how someone might interpret what I wrote to believe that is what I'm saying - but that isn't it at all.
So defending how Wilson performed against CC and explaining the combination of variables that led to the loss really is unnecessary. I don't blame him for that.
It's really this simple - the post I replied to stated that plays like the one that ended the half are the kind of plays that fire Wilson up to play even better.
So - if you narrow your focus down to that simple statement and ask yourself if it was true or not - did Wilson play better after that play - that's what I'm responding to.
And frankly, in my opinion - Wilson did not play demonstrably better in the second half.
Again - if you've got some stats from before that play and after to provide evidence that I'm wrong, I am completely open to that.
