We are a massive consumer country, the average person spends what they bring in
So its not completely shocking to me that a lot of people in here that make somewhere around $100k/year, don't see how they could live on "only" $100k/year for the rest of their lives.

We have a massive spending problem, or maybe its not a "problem" but lifestyle inflation is real and affects almost everyone. Everyone thinks, if I just made X dollars more id be set, but when they get there its "barely enough to get by" and they reset their "if I just had X" amount.
