So they did nothing. The virus did what it's going to do. All mitigation attempts are meaningless. The only thing that
nations can do to stop a wave is to prevent it through vaccinations. Once the wave the starts, it moves until it crests and that's about it. Nothing can be done. Just get as many vaccines in as many arms before a wave begins.
