Why though? Fractions are much more practical than an exact decimal
It’s a lot easier to comprehend bigger numbers too. 6’2” is a lot easier to comprehend than 188 cm as well because it’s broken down and tangible.

Of course if I want an exact number like in many professional fields, then yes the metric system is superior- and should be used.

But I usually do not need an exact measurement nor do I need to convert things and I prefer how tangible the imperial system is in daily life.

But in a world where everyone who once heard Neil deGrasse Tyson on YouTube is an expert scientist maybe we’ll convert sooner or later.
