Is that just the scholarships though? I see that differently then straight up

Sending cash, especially through student fees like many schools do. So, scholarships would include housing, tuition, and food for student athletes. The number you quoted still seems high and I wonder why. I always heard byu had to be independent in the AD

This isn’t entirely the full story. Athletics has to cut checks to the various colleges. BYU’s tuition is dirt cheap
