Relationship works for both the church and espn

The church likes it because they hate the moneybags look. It isn’t a good look for a church that operates. Donations

ESPN likes it because it puts downward pressure on negotiation for the value and money paid for G 5 games.

It is a Genius relationship.

This isn’t entirely the full story. Athletics has to cut checks to the various colleges. BYU’s tuition is dirt cheap
