They'd have jumped because they were no longer going to be in
a power conference. The Big 12 will remain an autonomous conference, however. It's apples and oranges.
And whatever concern the Big 12 remnants might have about the Big 12, they should equally share for the Pac 12. There's a lot of movement still to occur. The safest move by far is to add two teams now and see where things shake out in the next couple of years.
