I think it's an indication that is rather compelling
That there is no question that some of these QB's looked better their freshman year than during their entire career.

I think it would be rather reductive to say that our judgement of how good a QB looked was based purely on how one looked in their last game compared to how the other looked in the very next game. That's the argument you're basically making for how I'm evaluating the QB's but that's not it at all. It's their overall performance as freshmen. They may not have developed like anticipated, but as freshmen they have all come in and looked much better than one would expect and this assessment is not dependent on comparing one QB to another. They all looked good as freshman - in spite of their inherent and obvious unique limitations...every freshman starter is going to have to work through that, no matter the talent. There's no arguing that.
