With music etc playing over loudspeakers, there was definitely more consistent noise than in past games. Hard to say if
the crowd noise was louder than in the past. Many of us that remember the air force or Miami games were probably in student sections where it was very loud.

Yes BYU was penalized for crowd noise. Also, Dowis died while driving drunk about 5 years ago. He had a BAC of 0.233.
