I don't think they "know" it...for all the reasons that they can't view BYU with
a rational mindset, they can't view themselves in the same mindset.
I think the real fact of the matter is that they have probably peaked as a program the past 5 years. While the 4-9 year wasn't "rock bottom" (thanks to Gary Crowton), it was close. We are rising. They are peaking. We still have a little ways to "catch up" but there shouldn't be a "large gap" going forward (FWIW I don't think it was ever that large).
