Bronco lets his players play on the edge. Always has. Even at BYU.
It was irritating then - but it was a trade-off for having a very aggressive and violent defense that generally did well. That aside, it always bothered me that Bronco required all kinds of self-control and discipline outside of the game - but seemed OK with penalties during the game.
