I'm self employed and this is what we do!
We have had 3 of our 5 kids each of which had about a $500 out of pocket. We had a kid get a concussion and ended up in the ER which ended up being fully covered.
I know it's not for everyone but it has really worked out well for us at a fraction of the cost of what we were paying for our crappy insurance several years ago.

Yeah, like when the price of a "regular" surgery went from $1,200 to $10k within a year of the ACA. Graft is everywhere.
