Recitals suck and are pointless. As a parent, I'll have my kid perform for me. They don't need to perform in a setting
like that. Btw all 3 of my kids are performing in a recital tomorrow. They apparently don't hate it as much as I did as a kid so good for them. But man, if the kid hates it and the parent hates it, why do it? For the teacher who is getting paid? So she can show off her students? I don't get it.
Do some kids need a recital to be preparing for in order to feel the need to practice and get good at a song? Fear of blowing it motivates them to actually practice?
