I agree.
I still suffer from it. I pray every day that I don't pass this onto my children, while realizing the possibility of that is very real.
In my opinion mental illness is the real pandemic of our lifetimes. Now it's learning how to live with it, deal with it, fight through it.
I lost a brother due to suicide from it. My point was not to belittle those who struggle with it. Far from it actually.
The issue is walking away, not facing our fears, challenges or whatever you want to call it, can and does became an ingrained, even LEARNED behavior. It becomes habitual. It can and does become debilitating for a lifetime for many. With this generation it seems to be starting even earlier than normal. Letting our kids walk away from their challenges can become ingrained in them and it's sad to watch.
I'm all for therapy and whatever is needed to help anyone.
