UCF and Cincy. Are there others? I’m not saying it isn’t a conspiracy, but getting it right half the time there is a clear G5 option isn’t bad. Clearly the powers that be go to great efforts to keep the power, glory and money inside the in group, but 50% isn’t bad. Even if you include both years for UCF and Cincy, it is 25% and most computer polls did not have UCF or Cincy even top 6, except this year. Old BCS method wouldn’t have put UCF or Cincy in the other years. Those are the only 4 times a G5 was even top 11 and UCF wasn’t top 11 the first year.
