My son’s experience after his mission.
My son came home from a foreign mission and we sat down to watch his first college football game. It was Georgia against some patsy. We watched all the pageantry prior to the game; the cheerleaders, the flags, the dancers, and the band. He just sat there and then said, “I love college football.” The pros don’t have the same pageantry and atmosphere.

The band is a huge part of it. My only gripe with the band is the funeral dirges they play at halftime. “Rhapsody In Blue” just doesn’t fit the time or place. It’s like hearing “Silent Night” played at a college beach party in July.

Other than that, the fight song, the March into the stadium, the Darth Vader March, etc, all add greatly to the whole experience.
