Eddie Intervention Needed
My Dad had that fight - but it was with me. It was a short fight.
I got a job delivering newspapers when I was 12. From that point on, I paid for all of my own stuff. Including school lunch.

I had a friend who's dad was unemployed and who had free school lunch. He told me I probably qualified too. So I went and grabbed the paperwork from the school office and took it home.

Dad said "Nope - we aren't doing that."

I thought - "What do you mean 'we'? I'm the one paying for lunch!"

As a result I very rarely ate school lunch after 6th grade. Most days I just skipped it and went hungry until I got home after school and could make a sandwich.
