4 makes the most sense to me. In a conference that is so spread out
geographically, they should try to ease the travel burden on the teams at the far ends as much as possible.
Also competitively, it makes the most sense to split up Texas so that every team in the conference has the benefit of playing in Texas each year.

Sorry, misread. But NCAA rules are divisions for conferences with 12+ teams. AAC only has 11 since UConn left

I like the idea of 4 3-team pods. Each season, you play all teams in your pod, then rotate two other pods each season.

Interesting idea, though I think I'd prefer an 8-game conference schedule so we can have 4 OOC games.
