Except, in a conference that is so spread out, it's important to keep rivals
and make sure you play proximate teams consistently. It would be a travesty to not have the TExas teams play each other annually.
Also, with a 6-team division, you can stack the cross-division schedules so that everyone plays in Texas most years, especially the legacy Big 12 school outside of Texas.

Sorry, misread. But NCAA rules are divisions for conferences with 12+ teams. AAC only has 11 since UConn left

I like the idea of 4 3-team pods. Each season, you play all teams in your pod, then rotate two other pods each season.

Interesting idea, though I think I'd prefer an 8-game conference schedule so we can have 4 OOC games.
