I think an ideal schedule would be:
1 FCS or lower G5 team at home
odd years Utah and a MWC team, alternating home and away
even years Utah State and a PAC 12 team, alternating home and away
9 Conference games

Maybe every four years replace the first game with play a National name at a Neutral site
