Looking at the numbers, we massively overestimate our own importance

I see so many comments here about how BYU, like Texas, Oklahoma, Notre Dame, Ohio St etc really drives interest.

Or how it's OK to play a regional opponent because other similar national brands like Georgia and Clemson still play regional teams (like Georgia Tech and South Carolina).

I like BYU, but anyone putting us in the same tier a Oklahoma, Notre Dame, Ohio St, Georgia or Clemson is frankly living in a fantasy world
