and I get to deal with that 4 times a day. Then being asked to cover other teacher's classes when you are trying to prepare your own and being given zero time to actually perform the duties of your job. Or asking Aides and other people who have no business being in charge of a classroom to run one. Or combining classes due to lack of teachers and supervision. It's been an absolute nightmare these past few months for everyone involved. I invite you to take my classes for two weeks - I bet you change your tune. (~50% minority school, ~40% of students on some sort of IEP/504, ~50% Low Income School, gang violence, etc.)
