You're skipping the best part.
It isn't YOUR 36 kids you're dealing with.
It's someone else's 36 kids - and now you have to deal with their parents too.
And the parents all have different opinions on how awesome their kids are and how accommodating you should be for their child who hasn't turned in any homework all semester but wants to know how to get their grade up to a B in the next 2 days.
So could you please work with each of them individually on assignments that they were supposed to hand in a month ago, help them get it done, and get it graded and in the computer within the next 24 hours?

The issue right now is teachers being sick and there not being enough subs to cover all the classes. At our high school
