Let's be honest here... BYU didn't get into the BIG12 because we are some athletic powerhouse...

We got in because there are millions of church members that watch BYU sports, travels well and that's where the money is. The other teams added were added for location and they do bring to the conference what TCU and Utah had going into their conferences... National recognition success... BYU has had 2 decent years in the last 15, that still hasn't reached what Houston, UCF and Cincinnati has accomplished most recently.

BYU probably has the highest ceiling but we cap our potential due to honor code, missions and high academic standards etc.
