Jaren Hall was good, but Allgeier was the engine of the team. In realm of odd stats, here's one
In games where Allgeier didn't dominate (i.e. over 5 yards per carry or 100+ yards on the ground), BYU went 1-2, eking out a close win over Arizona State thanks to ... Allgeier's heroics.
Note that I'm not arguing Hall was a game manager being carried by Allgeier, but it's an argument that could be made if you fine-slice the data, which is what's happening for your stat on Rising. It's more a reverse causation - Utah (by design) doesn't throw that much and only does so if they're behind and in trouble.
I've never understood the insistence on criticizing Rising for losing the SDSU game, considering he came in with 2/3 of the game gone and down 14 points.
